The National Service Scheme (NSS) units of Raghunathpur College have been engaged in the social empowerment of volunteers and the promotion of social awareness since 1975. Each NSS unit enrols 100 volunteers annually, and at present the college's NSS programme engages a total of 300 volunteers across its units.
Each unit independently organises its own outdoor and indoor programmes, while indoor programmes are conducted jointly by both units. The two units were earlier guided by Programme Officers Subrata Paria (NSS Unit-1) and Dr. Dayamay Mandal (NSS Unit-2). At present, the units are led by Mr. Tanmoy Malakar (NSS Unit-I) and Dr. Subhasish Samai (NSS Unit-II), who conduct all activities under the recognition of the Principal, Dr. Phalguni Mukhopadhyay, with regular oversight from the Advisory Committee.
